In a short laboratory week with the headline subject ‚arduino‘ we had to develop a project which helps to remember a worker to do his break.
The project consists of a spin top and a box of wood. In the box is a little motor on which a wooden panel with four neodymium magnets is located. Inside the spinner there is a very strong magnet. When it‘s time for a break the worker slides the controller forward and a motor starts running. Through a mechnism the wooden pannel starts rotating. By activating the spin top, the controller will rotate until the amount of time which was set previously,
is expired. The Controller will come back to its original position where the panel as well as the top spin will stop rotating. The user will now be informed about the expiration of the break.
The different components were programmed with Arduino. The spin top and the wooden box were developed and put together in the workshop.
